Daily Outline
9:00 AM
Check In + Warm ups
Students will check in to camp everyday, store their belongings and instrument cases away, and being the day with simple warm up exercises.
9:30 AM
Technique Class
Students will participate in daily technique classes, reinforcing all the techniques needed to become a great guitar player!
10:30 AM
Sectional Rehearsal
Students will rehearse their music in their sections in the ensemble. They will get to work with Ms. Laman and other guest artists to refine their concert skills.
12:00 PM
Guest Artist Class
Right after lunch, students will have a specialized class based on our guest artists below! Read more about them and how they'll be working with Laman School of Music below.
1:00 PM
Concert Practice
Students will use the last hour of camp to practice their on-stage etiquette, perform their solo/duo pieces, and play in the large ensemble!
Guest Artists
The Laman School of Music is honored to have these three musicians share their talent and wisdom within these masterclasses and technique classes.
Riley Anderson
Riley Anderson is a guitarist, euphoniumist and vocalist from Northern Virginia. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Performance from Central Michigan University in 2019 where he studied euphonium and classical guitar. Recently, he completed a Master of Music in Music Performance from the Royal Northern College of Music (UK) where he studied euphonium and electric guitar. As a performer, Riley has been involved in various performance settings which include: wind ensembles, chamber groups, rock bands, Christian worship bands, solo acoustic sets, British brass bands, to name a few.
